Alina Bassi

Alina Bassi is a Google for Startups Female Founder alumni and more recently, she joined the Forbes 30 under 30 class of 2020 in the Manufacturing and Industry category. With a 1st class Masters in Chemical Engineering, she has over seven years experience in working in energy consulting firms such as ThyssenKrupp, as well as in the design of industrial factories that convert waste into fuels at bio-bean.

Originally from London, she founded Kleiderly in 2019 in Berlin, with the goal to use her knowledge to solve the problem of clothing waste from the fashion industry. Since, she has developed a technology to recycle waste clothing into a new and sustainable material, to create a circular economy and divert clothing waste away from landfills and incinerators. Her mission is to lower the carbon footprint from fashion and save tonnes of CO2 emissions.
