President, Asia, Africa and Middle East, Danone
 

Corine was born in 1973, Dutch by birth, married, and a mum of four. She graduated from Amsterdam University with a Master in Econometrics. In 2021, she is recently appointed as President Danone AMEA to oversee Asia, the Middle East, Africa and a member of the Executive Committee.

With many years working in the Netherlands, China, India, New Zealand, and Indonesia, Corine has extensive experience leading strategic business roles in the Company. Before her current position, she served as President Director Danone-AQUA and led the Danone Waters division for Southeast Asia. AQUA is Danone's number one water business and the largest B Corp certified company in Asia.

Corine has been at the forefront of leading the business and transformation with a big passion and commitment for sustainability and innovation, bringing Danone’s One Planet One Health to life in the region and beyond. She also sits on the Circulate Capital board; an impact focused investment management dedicated to financing project, companies, and infrastructure that prevent plastic waste flow to the world’s oceans and advance circular economy.

Before joining Danone, she also had experience working for Unilever. In 2017, she won the ‘Best Green CEO’; at the Social Business Innovation Award for her leadership in pioneering the cross-section of environmentalism and the business industry.Besides her active role in the business and strong passion for the environment, Corine is also an equestrian, runner, and scuba diver.
